Christina Rhodes

Giving Back

Christina has always been dedicated to taking an active part in her global community, empowering other women and young women in meaningful ways. While serving different missions, both the Blue Button Foundation and Twice New were founded on the simple principle that everyone has the power to improve the lives of others.

Blue Button Foundation

Christina founded the Blue Button Foundation as a means for providing direct access to education for girls who can’t afford it. While taking a brief sabbatical in 2016, Christina went to Ghana on a solar powered educational project for her brother’s company Aleutia Computers. While there she connected with a number of educators, mothers and young women, conversations that eventually led to the formation of the Blue Button Foundation. A registered 501(c)3 non-profit, Blue Button operates with a lean overhead, a razor-sharp focus, and an abiding belief in the ability of the human heart to make a difference in the lives of others. Access to education is a complex issue, but the backpack scholarship program is a simple way to provide opportunities for girls who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford the basic necessities to attend school.

Twice New Foundation

Christina co-founded the Twice New Foundation with long-time friend Crystal Ortiz, who continues to run it.

Recently featured in Forbes magazine, Twice New is a registered 501(c)3 charity created to help eliminate waste at events while simultaneously helping those in need. They partner with professionals in the event and production industries to take away any like new food, floral, furniture or other useable items and deliver them to homeless shelters and other aid organizations across Los Angeles and Orange County.
